Food Security Program
RICA’s Comprehensive Food Security Program addresses rising food insecurity among Worcester County’s refugee and immigrant families — many of whom lose SNAP eligibility while awaiting Green Card approval, or find existing benefits insufficient given inflation, larger households, and limited access to culturally familiar foods.
In partnership with organizations like Ansaar of Worcester, RICA provides emergency food assistance, culturally appropriate groceries, benefits navigation, nutrition education, and referrals — helping families maintain reliable access to healthy food while building long-term self-sufficiency.
